     William Henry Metcalf was born on 19 July 1821 at 32 Nassau St, New York, New York.2 He was the son of Eliab Metcalf and Nancy Benton.2 He married Caroline Tileston, daughter of Thomas Tileston and Mary Porter, on 11 April 1848 at 735 Broadway, New York, New York.1 He died on 8 April 1892 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at age 70.2
