James B. Hamilton was born in April 1852 at Cambridge, Somerset, Maine.1 He was the son of Stephen C. Hamilton and Olive (?). He married Roxanna Howard, daughter of Uriah Howard and Jane Mason Carpenter, on 25 October 1879 at Houlton, Aroostook, Maine.2 He died on 17 January 1928 at Oakfield, Aroostook, Maine, at age 75.3 He was buried on 19 January 1928 at Linneus, Aroostook, Maine.3
James B. Hamilton James was found dead in a woodshed where he was splitting wood and that he had such a grip on the axe that they had to saw the axe handle out of his hand. He spent the last five years of his life in Oakfield. Cause of death listed as arteriosclerosis. Age at census of 1870 was 15, Living in Cambridge in 1870, at Linneus in 1900, 1910.
