Zebina Flavious Griffin was born on 14 November 1844 at Byron, Ogle, Illinois.¹ He married Mary Gertrude Harwood on 20 July 1865 at Ontario, Canada.¹ He married Susan Elizabeth Cilley, daughter of Rev. Elbridge Gerry Cilley and Ruth Hunt, on 28 February 1881 at Jackson, Jackson, Michigan.
