Cilley and Nancy Maloon, on 9 May 1855.^4,2 She died on 26 April 1920 at Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire, at age 87.^2,3 She was buried on 28 April 1920 at George B. Cilley Cemetery, Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire.^2,3

     It is thought that Lydia was part Indian. She was very strong. Jake (Herbert Jacob) used to tell of her lifting a 100 pound barrel of flour off the tail-board of a wagon and then carrying it into the house. Another memory that Jake often repeated was a spanking she gave him using the flat of a hand-saw upon his nether portions.¹
