Robert Knox was born on 22 March 1789.3,2 He was the son of William Knox and Ellinor McDaniel.2 He married Polly Dole Cilley, daughter of Daniel Cilley and Hannah Plumer, on 1 December 1814.1,2 He died on 28 April 1850 at age 61.2
