     Emma Jane Cilley was born on 3 February 1854 at Petersburg, Michigan.1,2 She was the daughter of Jacob Satchel Cilley and Mary Ann Seaman.1 She married John Shafer on 19 November 1874 at Petersburg, Monroe, Michigan.2 She died on 14 March 1937 at Chicago, Illinois, at age 83.2 She was buried at Mendon, Michigan.2
