Horatio Gates Cilley

     Horatio Gates Cilley was born on 23 December 1777 at Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of General Joseph Cilley and Sarah Longfellow.¹ He married Sally Jenness, daughter of Thomas Jenness and Sally Yeaton, on 17 November 1802.¹ He died on 26 November 1837 at age 59.¹

     He lived in Deerfield, and was a man of great energy of character, a safe counsellor, good advocate, generous and humane.¹
