     Major Greenleaf Cilley was born on 1 March 1767 at Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire.2,1 He was the son of General Joseph Cilley and Sarah Longfellow.1 He married Jennie Nealley, daughter of Joseph Nealley and Susanna Bowdoin, on 22 May 1788 at Nottingham.3,1 He died on 24 February 1808 at Nottingham at age 40.4,1 He was buried at Nottingham Square Cemetery, Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire.5,4
     
     He resided in Nottingham, was a farmer, Major in the State Militia, and held at various times different town offices, died in Nottingham, 25 February 1808.
