     Captain Cutting Cilley was born in 1738 at Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire.2,1 He was the son of Captain Joseph Cilley and Alice 'Else' Rawlins.1 He married Martha Morrill in 1761.1 He died in 1825 at Northfield, Merrimack, New Hampshire.1 He was buried at Bean Hill Cemetery, Northfield, Merrimack, New Hampshire.3
     
     Cutting, 1775, served at Pierce's Island, and, 1777, raised a company for the defense of Piscataqua Harbor.
     He was farmer, town officer, and Captain during the Revolutionary War; died at his son John's in Northfield, in 1825.1
