     Gordon Harper Cilley was born on 11 October 1874 at Lenoir, Caldwell, North Carolina.2 He was the son of Clinton Albert Cilley and Emma Sophia Harper.1 He married Maud Evans Shuford, daughter of Abel Alexander Shuford and Alda Virginia Campbell, on 28 April 1900.1 He married Marcella Ruth on 12 April 1913.2 He died on 17 January 1938 at age 63.2
