Laurin Cilley
Laurin Cilley, a respected citizen of Atkinson and well known in these villiages, died very suddenly Tuesday morning. He went to Mrs. Joseph Trotts to kill a hog and after taking the hog out of the pen it was noticed that he did not appear well. He went into the house where Mrs. Trott gave him some medicine and left him setting in a chair while she went out to get a pail of water. As she came into the house on her return she heard an unusual sound and saw Mr. Cilley lying on the lounge. Going to him she saw that he was dying and called his son who was outside. He came in at once and spoke to his father who apparently recogniced him but was dead in an instant. As M. Cilley was in his usual good health that morning the cause of his sudden death is a mystery, the only explanation being that he might have injured himself while lifting the hog. The family have the sympathy of many friends in their affliction.
