Dorothy A. Cilley
FRANKLIN - Dorothy A. Cilley, 97, formerly of Damy Drive, died yesterday at Mountain Ridge Genesis Eldercare in Franklin. She was born in Contoocook, the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Cookson) Morrill. She had lived in Franklin since her early childhood.
She volunteered at the Franklin Senior Center for more than 20 years. She attended Grace Evangelical Church in Penacook. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. She also enjoyed traveling, especially throughout the Northeast, and took part in many trips with the TRIP Center in Franklin.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Cilley of Franklin, Karl Grant of Concord and Glenn Cilley of Hill; seven daughters, Beverly Chapman, Evelyn Hurd, Patricia Chase, Virginia Fecteau and Kathy Lavigne, all of Franklin, Emma Sharon of Tilton and Charlotte Sutton of Stockton, Calif.; a sister, Verna Moore of Barton, Vt.; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Allen Cilley, died in 1955.
Visiting hours will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Charles Lucchesi will officiate.
