Gen. Harry B. Cilley
Full military honors were accorded Gen. Harry B. Cilley at his funeral in Grace Episcopal Church, Manchester, yesterday afternoon.
Among those present were professional and business men, as well as high officials of the New Hampshire National Guard with which the deceased was prominently identified for many years.
Rt. Rev. John T. Dallas, bishop of the Episcopal diocese in New Hampshire, took part in the services, which were conducted by Rev. George R. Hazard, rector of the church.
Adjt. Gen. C. W. Howard came from Concord with a special detail of National Guardsmen, who acted as guard of honor, and then fired the volleys over the grave while two buglers sounded "Taps."
All the Masonic branches to which General Cilley belonged were represented at the funeral. Music was rendered by the full vested choir of Grace Church.
The funeral directors were, Judge Robert J. Peaslee, chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, and Col. William B. Burpee.
Burial was in the family lot in Valley cemetery, where the Knights Templar services were conducted. Six Knights Templar were the pallbearers. Following these services the National Guard unit fired a volley over the grave and "Taps" were sounded.
